The Premier League returns to the King Power on Monday night, but spirits are low for the Foxes. Leicester are limping toward relegation, winless since February, and seemingly unable to turn their season around. A home fixture against a surging Newcastle side is hardly the ideal scenario.
Eddie Howe’s Magpies are hunting a third straight win and are still in the thick of the race for a Champions League place. A win here takes them fifth — and given Leicester’s recent form, anything less would be a shock.
Leicester’s Crisis Deepens
One win in 2025. Eight straight defeats in all competitions. And now, internal tension. Midfielder Harry Winks was mysteriously left out of the squad in midweek, and reports suggest his relationship with Ruud van Nistelrooy has soured.
Injuries haven’t helped either. Abdul Fatawu (ACL), Odsonne Edouard, and Harry Souttar remain unavailable. The veteran Jamie Vardy is expected to lead the line once again, hoping to spark something from a side that looks out of ideas.

H2: Newcastle’s Champions League Charge
Newcastle head into this one buzzing. Wins over Brentford and Liverpool have lifted the mood, and even with a few knocks, they’re favourites here.
Alexander Isak is expected to recover in time — huge news for Howe’s men. Anthony Gordon could also return, while Kieran Trippier remains a doubt. Hall, Botman, and Lascelles are all sidelined.
